Accepted file formats

Good accepts PDFs created to the 3DAPv2 standard. For further information on how to create a 3DAPv2 PDF go to www.3dap.com.au/usingpdfs.htm. Good will not accept native application files (such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Freehand or QuarkXPress). For classified advertisers, please do not supply a ready made advert as we will design the advert for you. All you need to supply is a logo or product shot, about 30 words of text and your contact details—including your website.

Proofing

A final 100%-size 3DAP-approved colour proof with colour bars, calibration marks and crop marks must be supplied with all ad files. The proof must be generated from the PDF supplied. If a 100%-size 3DAP-approved proof is not supplied, faithful reproduction of the ad is not guaranteed.

File delivery

Good prefers that advertising material be supplied via the Quickcut validation and delivery system. By using Quickcut you are assured that your ads will meet our exact specifications and arrive right first time.

If you’re not already set up with Quickcut, by visiting the website at quickcut.co.nz you can register and immediately download the QuickPrint PDF Lite pre-flight software for free. Please note that Quickcut is a chargeable service based on the area of the ad checked and sent. If you have any questions or would like more information phone David McCarthy on 09 524-1309.

The reproduction of advertising supplied by other methods, such as on disk or via email, cannot be guaranteed. Poor quality material will be rejected.

Media

CD-R or DVD-R. Please label all media with issue date, agency/client name, contact name, phone number(s), ad number and emergency contact. Please include the publication and issue date in the file name, e.g. Good_June_AdvertiserName.pdf

Shipping and correspondence

Please deliver 3DAP-approved proofs to:

Having a moan to an MP is not only cathartic, it's effective. But it's just as important to let politicians know you support them when they done good. Sometimes they even write back!

Plus: Peak oil is really real, says everyone.

Go MAD

Intrepid Volunteers Challenge
GoMad

To celebrate and support New Zealand’s volunteers, Good magazine and Intrepid Travel have created the Intrepid Volunteers Challenge (gomad.co.nz) and social networking site, so charities and volunteers like you can connect and bring change.

The big idea is simply to reward our unsung heroes and make it easier for new volunteers to find a project that suits them. The Intrepid Volunteer of the Year will win a $5,000, all-expenses-paid Intrepid Travel volunteering holiday to any destination in the world, with spending money from Good magazine.
