We have received hundreds of housekeeping tips from Good readers. Now it's time to share them with you!

Place for it

"Remember the old saying: 'A place for everything and everything in its place.'  When I do this, I can get straight into my cleaning without having to first tidy the house.  How I wish I would do this more often!"—Kay Allen

Box it up

"When doing a general tidy up, put all the stuff you have lying around into a box, then dust and vacuum. Then put the stuff away, this saves all the walking back too and fro."—Aaron Wells

Clean kettle

"Put ½ a lemon in the jug, almost fill with cold water, bring to the boil and stand overnight. What a success. I am now passing it on to others. By the way, do remove the lemon and rinse jug before use. A friend didn't, so one can imagine the taste of her next cuppa."—Jeanne Sparks
