Furniture Polish (and salad dressing)
"Mix two parts olive oil and one part lemon juice in a spray bottle. It's wonderful as a natural furniture polish, leaves everything shiny and lovely smelling and cuts right through greasy marks. Also handy in the cupboard to reach for when a quick salad dressing is required. Definitely a win-win resource!"—Sarah Granich
Recycle for your kids
"Kindergartens and preschools are always using boxes and old magazines and materials for arts and crafts. They are always so happy to receive donations of these things, and it clears the clutter from your house also."—Amanda Bull
Clean carpet
"Clean carpet stains by making a paste with bi-carb soda and water; rub it in to the carpet, leave to dry and then vacuum away. You'll be left with lovely clean carpet with no residue or stinky chemicals. I'm amazed by how well this works and leaves no strange carpet stains."—Sophie Ward
