"After painting, wash equipment with a bare minimum of water (several times), decanting the dirty water into a bucket half filled with sand. Leave the bucket in a sunny spot and the water will evaporate leaving the paint residue in the sand. Then you can dispose of it to landfill."—Sarah Granich
