Is it too obvious to say that this bag would be my what I would most like to take glamping?! The night away would begin the minute I started packing this and I would immediately feel so glamorous and excited! My 2 year old has just looked at the picture of the bag and said 'oh, pretty bag'! I had thought of sharing it with her, but sorry, this would be all mine! Not a single toy, or box of raisins would be allowed near it!

I have to say that with 2 small children camping is not so Glam.  But I'm getting there, my fav accessory would have to be my camping chair for sitting in after the kids are sleeping with a gin and watching the stars.

i'm not sure if this is really what could be considered a 'Glamping Accessory' but it feels pretty decadent to me when you are 'going bush' - its my stash of organic dark chocolate. Evenings around the camp fire just wouldn't be the same without it.

I used to take a wooden breakfast tray/bookstand that has fold down legs. It made an excellent 'dressing-table' (picture it in an ancient 2-person tent!) for all my moisturisers, sunscreens, complete with a mirror and even a glass with wildflowers in it! I love to camp, but why be austere about it?

I always take my 'holiday' spice rack and a wok with me.
Glamming up kebabs, sausages, meat patties and seafood (if I'm lucky enough), puts a real smile on my family's face.
They never know what to expect, and for me that's the fun part.
Is it gonna be a seafood paella?, or Turkish burgers?

Many years ago I walked up to the top of Kilimanjaro - it took a total of 6 days there and back.  We slept in tents and had a group of porters to carry most of our food and camping supplies and had use of the longdrops along the way.  We were definitely not glamping (but wow what a trip).
Every now and then we glimpsed another group of walkers and most days came across them having their lunch or setting up camp for the night and were blown away by their full on glamping style - table and chairs, red wine and candelabras, uniformed porters, dinner tent, separate sleeping tents with airbeds and duvets and to the envy of everyone a portable loo.
Now that's what I call glamping.

I would take enough freshly washed and ironed cotton sheets to change my bed every day PLUS of course the latest copy of Good magazine and in fact the last few  copies as everytime I read them there are always different things that I previously missed.  Plus my wonderful man who spoils me rotton  a portaloo so I don't have to queue up to use one and some nice wine.  Just as well this is hypothetical because me list would go on and on. What a fabulous prize to win thank you.

I always remember meeting a woman who had a small yet perfect selection of herbs in little terracotta pots outside her tent. Chives, basil and thyme. And I had the biggest camping crush ever!

And I don't know as this is a luxury, for me, more an essential, but I take my stove top coffee pot and a hand grinder, so I can brew fresh coffee when I'm woken at 5.00am by the birds.

Glamping to me is a necessity not a luxury .. there is nothing like knowing that you will be comfortable, warm and well-fed and watered with the nicest bedding, excellent coffee and fanastic fresh food - However, my most favourite glamping accessory is my happy happy children ... taken from their urban environment and allowed to breathe and be creative and imaginative using the wonderful homely space we created as safe and inspiring base.

Three years this month ago i gave my BFF one of these gorgeous bags from Tamsin for her 40th birthday and we took it on its inaugrual surprize glamping trip to Huka Lodge by chopper with our gorgeous husbands.

However on Monday I feel it made it's most significant journey yet, the gorgeous bag was here at my home for our Waitangi day celebrations and it carried my BFF's ashes.

I'd love to win one so that one day the two of us can continue to glamp whereever our familys would love to carry us together. For she would be my ultimate glamping accessory foreva and eternity. xxxxxx
