Fantastic fresh apples straight from the tree, they have Red Delicious, Gala, Royal Gala, Granny Smiths and Braeburn (as they come into season so I think thats from end of Feb through to June) you can buy apples by the bag ofr PYO. Apples are great sizes for kids lunch boxes!

Hi, I'm from 17 Redwood Lane just outside Tauranga on the highway to Hamilton.  The listing says our blueberry field is closed on Tuesdays, but thanks to the magic of an honesty box people are welcome all day every day.  Thanks for listing us.  It has been a good season and I think we'll have blueberries through to mid or late March.  Cheers, George

Also "Blueberry Country" just before/after Ngatea depending on the direction you come from.  I took my kids there last week and couldn't get over the amount of Blueberry bushes and packed full of blueberries!  We had a great time eating/picking them!  :-)  Apparently they have two farms?

What I would like to get hold of is a list of places to get seconds or bottling grade fruit (pick your own would be fabulous).  Does anyone know of any places like this?

I spoke to Sunset Orchards today and they no longer do Pick your own, but do sell bags of apples in bulk and second grade fruit also.

If you are in the south most trips to Central Otago will take you passed many stalls and PYO Orchards.Ettrick is a greatplace to start followed by Roxburgh and Cromwell.

I have had to do it myself this year as our trees that we usually allow others to help pick for free  were decimated by drought, rain and finally when a few fruit remained the Possums moved in ate the lot and then started on thr trees.
Sad as I I usually share so many and eventake boxes to elderly and families so they can preserve them.
