The circus is coming to town!

Home » Blog » Sarah Heeringa » The circus is coming to town!

Indulge in a night of avant-garde circus fantasy—and support charity while you're at it!

Re-invented in the 80s, the Montreal-based Cirque du Soleil used a radical 'no ring and no animals' approach to totally re-define the modern circus.

Each show is a synthesis of circus styles from around the world—theatrical sets and an international troupe of performers, acrobats and musicians ensure each outing is a memorable event. The latest show to come to New Zealand is Dralion—featuring ancient Chinese circus traditions fused with the avant-garde Cirque du Soleil approach. The name Dralion is drawn from its two main symbols—the dragon, representing the East, and the lion, representing the West.

Now you can indulge in a night of fantasy and support charity. Buy tickets to Dralion by Cirque du Soleil, July 2009, through Oxfam and 100 percent of the ticket price will go to support the work of Oxfam New Zealand.

Call 0800 OXFAM NZ (0800 693 2669) today to book your tickets!
