Circular Fashion Conference

The annual Australian Circular Fashion Conference is Australasia’s leading business event on sustainability attracting more than 500 business leaders from the largest multinational companies in the Australian and New Zealand industry. 

The full speaker line-up is now confirmed for the second annual Australian Circular Fashion Conference in Melbourne on March 21 and 22, 2019.

“It has never been more important for businesses to adopt sustainable practices that will see them successful both today and in the future,” says ACTA founder Camille Reed.

The Australasian Circular Textile Association (ACTA) is the organiser of the Conference and was formed in response to attendees and fellow professionals of the 2018 Conference, to support the enormity of transitioning from a linear model to full circularity.

ACTA aims to join the dots to achieve sustainable practice by implementing circular textile innovation through its unique service model and aims to see textile take-back’s become as successful as fellow recycling schemes such as e-waste and green waste.

The Conference Agenda includes a full day of workshops on the key pillars of the circular economic/design wheel. Each workshop is run by a the lead keynote speakers from the conference and co-facilitated by a local expert.

International guest speakers include Megan Meiklejohn – Eileen Fisher, New York; Elin Larsson – Filippa. K, Stockholm; Tim Loftus – Sustainable Marketing (ex-Kathmandu), Christchurch; Giusy Bettoni – C.L.A.S.S, Milan; Christian Dreszig – Bluesign, St Gallen; and Dana Davis + Celine DeCarlo – Mara Hoffman, New York.

Plus, Dean Jones – Glam Corner, Sydney; Andrew Sellick – Australia Post, Melbourne; Cr Jess Miller – Sydney; Matt Davis – Salvos, Melbourne; and Brooke Summers – Cotton Australia, Sydney. And special workshop guests Ollie Milliner – Kathmandu, Christchurch, and The Sustainable Apparel Coatlition.
