FASHION IN FOCUS 2019 will turn fashion’s usual elitism inside-out and throw open doors normally closed to non-industry guests.
Sustainability and the State of Fashion is one of the hot topics on the inaugural FASHION IN FOCUS event schedule with Gosia Piatek of Kowtow (Kowtow main image), Maggie Hewitt of Maggie Marilyn and Melinda Tually of Fashion Revolution on the panel.
Combining local and international speakers across six nights, FASHION IN FOCUS will have an event tailored for almost every fashion fan, from the novice through to the most seasoned veterans.
The two-week-long series of fashion-related events in late March 2019, spear headed by Showroom 22, will be hosted at Showroom 22’s Auckland CBD showroom and on-site studio, Symmetry Studio.
FASHION IN FOCUS will target New Zealand’s creative industries and our nation’s emerging talent pool who wish to explore and celebrate the fashion industry and its creative forces.
“As the fashion world – and in fact the whole consumer world – becomes more instant and focused on B2C, we feel a desire to embrace this change and move towards an open-source platform of idea and knowledge sharing,” says Showroom 22 founder Murray Bevan.
