Guests were treated to delicious canapes on arrival at Orakei Bay, as well as bubbles from Mission Estate Winery. Following this they learned more about the delicious range of wines from Mission Estate, before legendary Linden Leaves founder Brigit Blair shared her family’s personal skincare journey which led to the creation of her business, now more than 20 years old and recently crowned the Best New Zealand Beauty Brand at the Best in Beauty Awards.
Blair shared the company’s passion about being NATRUE certified and then guided guests through the process of making their very own Aromatherapy Syngergy Memories Body Oil to take home with them. Made in New Zealand, Linden Leaves Aromatherapy Synergy Memories Body Oils contain organic rosehip and avocado oils blended with pure sweet almond and apricot kernel oils, enriched with vitamin E and infused with a blend of rose, geranium and ylang ylang, to keep skin soft and nourished. Each bottle also contains real dried roses and other dried fruits which are grown especially for Linden Leaves in Christchurch. Linden Leaves still produce every bottle by hand today.
Orakei Bay also made for the most picturesque setting on the day – with sun streaming through the windows to provide the most stunning natural lighting.
Everyone left with their appetites satisfied and a body oil to take home, along with a generous goody bag which also included other Linden Leaves samples to try, a wine glass from Mission Estate, a banana and some dried banana chunks from All Good Organics, a Karen Murrell lipstick, Artemis Slim Tea, Arnica Sports Gel from Weleda and some miscellar water make-up wipes from Swisspers.
