About Us

Good is a social enterprise—a purpose-led, collaborative media company that values impact over profit. From every advertising dollar, a percentage is reinvested into water and land regeneration projects across Aotearoa, New Zealand.

We are reimagining what media can be—celebrating mindful living through powerful storytelling, cultural insight, and innovation. With a strong brand legacy and a fresh digital-first and events model, Good is a platform for those who believe in meaningful living and creating positive change. We may bring back the occasional print product if ethical brands get behind it.

Our current team members are all shareholders in this social enterprise—collectively shaping its direction and values. The GoodCreator Community brings together visionary storytellers and aligned collaborators committed to inspiring people to live well. We partner with content creators who bring depth, professionalism, and soul to their work—sharing stories across wellness, culture, adventure, innovation, and style.

Whether you’re a reader, creator, or brand collaborator, Good is a space for those who believe in doing good—and telling meaningful stories for a more beautiful world.

We are currently transitioning to a new publisher so please have patience while we are upgrading our site. New team, new stories, and new events coming soon…

Daniel Robinson

Technologist

Daniel Robinson is a creative technologist with the soul of a philosopher and the precision of a mathematician. Raised in Nelson, shaped by the shifting seasons of Canada, and imprinted with years of North Shore beach walking, he moves through the world with an intuitive, questioning mind—attuned to systems, stirred by story, and always asking what it means to be human in an age of machines.

Deeply thoughtful and technically sharp, Daniel is drawn to how things work—and why they were built that way in the first place. He’s not just a software engineer or AI tinkerer, but a systems thinker with a philosophical streak, always probing the boundaries of how we build, automate, and understand.

With over a decade in web application development, he brings precision and care to every layer—crafting experiences that feel both clear, elegant, and natural.

Belinda Nash

Culture Curator

As a self-anointed chief curiosity instigator, Belinda Nash has quite literally danced around the edges of culture and creativity since her feet hit the ground. As a free-range child growing up in Napier, she flourished as a pianist and storyteller. In the blessed naïveté of childhood, she imagined herself a poet, artist, singer, dancer, and actor—even penning her own collection of plays.

Starry-eyed dreams evolved to become the weaving of stories that ignite transformation—her singular focus. Working alongside or in the media since her 20s, Belinda has written about subjects and people ranging from composing to composting, astronomers to astrologers, chefs to chiefs, and everything in between.

She’s excited to curate a fresh view of what culture can mean in a world of content overwhelm—to breathe when others shout, to pause and reflect, to amplify the quiet voices, and to celebrate joy in unexpected places.

Belinda is known for her insight, imagination, and authenticity—all seamlessly delivered with a little sass. Whether talking to local creatives or curating Aotearoa’s creative shifts, Belinda shares intimate glimpses inspired by the world’s flux—all to help make our cultural conversation brighter, bolder, and more human.

A curious creator at heart, Yelena finds joy in the quiet creativity of putting together a thoughtful outfit or curating a cosy, intentional space at home. She believes in the magic of breathing new life into old pieces and the power of style as a personal ritual of self-expression.

Emily Penick

Innovation Curator

Emily Penick is tired of extractive systems exhausting the people and communities she loves. So she’s made it her mission to find and amplify the examples of better ways already happening around us.

From working on Broadway to founding Dirty House, Aotearoa’s first 3D earth-printing dwelling company, Emily has always been drawn to creating spaces where stories come alive—whether on stage or in homes built from the earth itself. Her journey from spotlights to sustainability felt natural: both theatre and regenerative innovation are about bringing new possibilities to life.

There are people already doing the good work, building systems that give back more than they take. Emily’s job is to celebrate how they’re doing it and spread their knowledge.

She’s most at home with her hands in soil—whether pruning trees, mixing earth for building, or learning from the regenerative innovators who call Aotearoa home. From Māori economists generously sharing indigenous wisdom to community enterprises showing that business can nurture rather than extract, Emily feels privileged to discover the quiet revolutionaries caring for this land and its people.

Her mission is simple: to share what she’s learning about the innovators already creating the world we need. Because sustainable living isn’t just possible—it’s happening right here, and it’s more beautiful and life-giving than we ever imagined.
