Back again for another year, Artweek Auckland will bring life to the city over a week-long festival of installations, late night events, art and food fun, and of course gallery viewings galore. There is something for everyone! Here are our top picks for Artweek, which takes place Oct 6-14.

MURAL LOVE

Follow the street art buzz to Glen Innes with the Bradley Lane Project, a 3-day street art celebration which includes free Street Art Workshops and 5 new outdoor murals added to the impressive 19 murals already on display.

LATE NIGHT DATE NIGHT

Late Night Art returns for another year, with a buzzing evening of late night installations, events and pop ups for a leisurely stroll around the central city. Auckland Art Gallery will be open extra late for any late night art cravings, plus experience a carnival atmosphere with pop up stalls and all kinds of fun things to see and do. STREET ART MEETS STREET EATS

Experience the ultimate foodie experience down at Khartoum Place (TE HĀ O HINE) during Late Night Art on Tuesday 9th October. Five of Auckland’s top food vendors serve up delicious culinary creations inspired by the works of five artists in StreetArtDego this Artweek.

BEE INSPIRED

Get educated about bees and join in on a free beeswax candle rolling demonstration 6 October at Colony, where you can gather with other bee lovers.

DRAW ME LIKE ONE OF YOUR FRENCH GIRLS!

With thanks to the Highwic Drawing Club, Newmarket’s idyllic Highwic House will be offering a free drawing class, offering any budding artists the opportunity to test their skills in the form of life drawing.

ON THE MOVE

Explore Auckland by e-bike or foot during Artweek and discover the diverse street art, public art and art galleries the city has to offer with free guided tours.
