A treat for coffee lovers

If you’re a coffee lover like us at Good magazine, you’ll be just as excited as we were to hear about the exciting new synergy between Little Bird and Kokako.

Introducing Little Bird’s delicious new coffee-flavoured macaroon – a perfectly crafted blend of coconut, cashew, Kokako coffee (which is certified fair trade and organic), vanilla and sweetened with a little coconut nectar and coconut crystals. The product is entirely organic, mostly raw, paleo friendly, gluten-, dairy- and preservative-free, and vegan.

These sweet, delicate chewy morsels are the perfect guilt-free snack to enjoy any time of the day. Says Megan May, founder of Little Bird Organics, “Little Bird and Kokako have been close since the early days of Little Bird’s existence. Mike [founder of Kokako] has been a great source of advice and moral support for us, (and a good friend to boot), and the two businesses are committed to the same sustainability and ethical ideals. When we opened our Unbakeries, there was only one real choice of coffee supplier for us – Kokako!”

Kokako have a passionate commitment to sustainability, having received several awards from the Sustainable Business Network, and are strong advocates for Fairtrade and ethical procurement of all products with third party verification from both Fairtrade and Biogro NZ.

It gets better too – to celebrate their latest collaboration, Little Bird are running a nationwide competition with the chance to win a macaroon and a Kokako coffee every day for a full three months. Simply check inside your packet of macaroons to see if you have one of four lucky golden tickets.

Little Bird’s entire product range is hand-made from only the best organic ingredients, jam-packed full of real wholefoods, without any nasty additives or preservatives.
