Vegan menu at The Sugar Club

The Sugar Club will once again offer an entirely vegan menu for World Vegan Day on November 1.

For World Vegan Day on November 1, diners at The Sugar Club in Auckland will enjoy an exclusive five-course vegan tasting menu for lunch, and dinner, with an optional vegan beverage pairing.

The hero dish will take inspiration from the plant-based creation that landed junior sous chef, Giada Grilli, in the semi final of the San Pellegrino Young Chef Awards this year.

The zero-waste plate titled ‘last night a pumpkin saved my life’ will feature on the all-vegan menu, with the main ingredient substituted for kumara.

In June, The Sugar Club unveiled what is believed to be New Zealand’s first ever low carbon menu, which was carefully measured and assessed by Enviromark NZ, as low carbon using only locally sourced ingredients. Two of the low carbon dishes will feature on the World Vegan Day menu.

“Whether you are vegan or not, come along, put your preconceptions aside and enjoy a lunch or dinner with us,” says Peter Gordan, The Sugar Club’s chef restaurateur.

What can be guaranteed is the menu and presentation will have lashings of The Sugar Club’s renowned creativity.
