Disney fans and high tea lovers alert! Cordis Auckland have announced a series of three amazing and magical Disney-themed High Teas set to run between mid-September this year and January 2019.
If you’re a fan of Disney movies and love a good old high tea, then Cordis Auckand’s new series of events are a must for your diary.
Served at Cordis’ Lobby Lounge between mid-September 2018 and January 2018, each High Tea is inspired by an upcoming Disney Studios title – Christopher Robin, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms and Mary Poppins Returns. Those who are among the first 100 seats booked for each High Tea will receive a VIP movie ticket to the film associated with their High Tea at at the VIP movie screening at HOYTS Cinemas Sylvia Park.
For the first event, Disney’s Christopher Robin High Tea by Cordis (pictured) which takes place from September 14 to October 14, Cordis Executive Chef Volker Marecek and Executive Pastry Chef Callum Liddicoat have reimagined a whimsical high tea menu that celebrates the journey of childhood friendship.
Presented and served on a stylish three tier stand, there will be delightful items inspired by the film such as the ‘Ashdown Forest fog with Honey Forest ice tea’ served with dry ice, ‘Piglet’s delight’, a popcorn mousse with salted caramel and caramel popcorn and ‘Pooh’s honey pot’, a honey ganache with lemon curd and honeycomb. Party sandwiches, travelling snacks and a serving of fluffy scones with artisan jam and clotted cream complete the experience, along with your choice of teas or coffees as recommended by our Tea Sommelier.
Menus for the other two events, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (from November 16 – December 16) and Mary Poppins Returns (from December 28 – January 31) will be released in due course.
High Tea pricing: Monday – Friday: $59 per adult and NZ$38 per child under 12 years. Saturday, Sundays & Public Holidays: $69 per adult and $48 per child under 12 years.
