Visiting Queenstown this weekend? Rata Restaurant and Cloudy Bay have teamed up to put on the best long lunch on a Sunday you’ll have – all for a good cause.
Queenstown is often known for it’s adventure tourism and spectacular scenery – but it’s wining and dining options are world-class too. If you’re visiting this weekend and looking for a unique dining experience, you’re in for a treat at Josh Emmett’s Rata Restaurant, which is hosting a bespoke Cloudy Bay Long Lunch to raise funds for Project Crimson. Project Crimson are a fantastic charity supporting the reforestation and regeneration of New Zealand’s Rata tree.
Locals and visitors who attend the Cloudy Bay Long Lunch at Rata will enjoy a delicious four course lunch prepared by Josh Emett and the Rata team, with CloudyBay wines presented by Jim White, Head Viticulturist.
Each dish has been designed to perfectly complement the Cloudy Bay range, including the much anticipated Te Wahi Pinot Noir 2014, the first vintage born from the blend of grapes from two Cloudy Bay owned vineyards in Central Otago – Northburn & Calvert. Taking inspiration from the flavour profiles of each Cloudy Bay vintage and using only the freshest local produce, the award winning restaurant promises to deliver a distinctly New Zealand, unique long lunch menu that will not disappoint.
The Cloudy Bay Long Lunch will take place on Sunday November 20 from 12:30pm – 3:30pm. Tickets are $150 per person with $20 per ticket going to “Project Crimson” for the reforestation and regeneration of the Rata tree.
