The Big Bike Film Night

A feast of short films devoted to the bicycle and all who ride it.

The Big Bike Film Night is back for another year to bring together cycling and cinematography.

Running from February to May in 36 locations nationally, it showcases New Zealand-made and international movies all related to cycling.

‘Film Pedlar’ and curator, Brett Cotter says that he searches high and low to find the best cycling short films that can inspire his audience and offer exciting new stories. “This, our sixth collection, features the full array of cycling genres with something for everyone, whatever your ride is. Expect action, drama, humour and plenty of inspiration in the 2020 mix with twelve short films being presented,” says Cotter.

The 2020 line up is set to motivate people to find their ‘why’ and understand that cycling comes in all shapes and sizes.

Cotter says that his event celebrates cycling in all its glorious shapes and forms and whether you’re a cycling fan or cinematography fan, it’s something everyone should see.

The opening night is Saturday February 15 at Victoria Park in Cambridge and wraps up Friday May 22 at the Charles Luney Auditorium in Christchurch.

When: February 15 – May 22 2020
